VNGOVNet – Considering the proposal of the Ministry of Finance and on behalf of the PM, Deputy PM Phạm Gia Khiêm agreed on February 1 that the Đà Nẵng City Charity will benefit from a batch of second-hand wheelchairs and spare parts, with the quality remaining 80%, granted by the US non-governmental Hope Haven International through the Dutch organization Wereld Nood Hulp.

VNGOVNet – On behalf of the PM, Deputy PM Phạm Gia Khiêm approved the project ‘Increasing capability of designing and implementing socio-economic development plans and providing basic social services in Kon Tum Province’ with a total budget of US$5 million jointly granted by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), United Nations Fund for Population Activities (UNFPA), and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). The project includes the purchase of seven ambulances, one van and one 7-seat car. The project’s corresponding fund is taken from the annual budget of Kon Tum Province pursuant to the State Budget Law.

VNGOVNet – The PM agreed on January 30 with the Quảng Trị Province People’s Committee to carry out the "Regional Development Cooperation Program 2007-2010" costing US$ 4,710,964 funded by the foreign non-governmental organization World Vision International (WVI). The provincial People’s Committee are to contribute the corresponding capital to the project from the local budget in line with the Budget Law.

VNGOVNet – Considering the proposal of the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI), the PM agreed on January 29 with the MPI to represent the Vietnamese Government to request the Japanese Government provide nonrefundable grants of 19 equipment items worth of US$ 225,600 for the Project "Capacity increasing in people-involved irrigation management" and other 27 items (US$ 229,700) for the Project "Developing human resource for traffic safety in Hanoi".
VN-Sweden Development Cooperation Deal extended to 2007's end 09:06 | 29/01/2007
VNGOVNet – PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng agreed on January 26 to extend the Vietnam-Sweden Development Cooperation Agreement to December 31, 2007 and take the additional SEK 300 million in nonrefundable grant from Sweden that sends the total amount of Swedish grants for financing development projects in Vietnam up to SEK 1.2 billion.
