Da Lat flower brand developed

VGP – The People’s Committee of Da Lat City and the Department of Science and Technology will deploy a project to develop brand for five types of Da Lat flowers in the city and surrounding areas.

The flowers include daisy, rose, pink, auspicious and gladiolus.

Under the project, a set of criteria on forms, models and quality for the five types of flowers will be set up. In addition to that, a map on production and business sites will also be included.

Earlier, the People’s Committee of Da Lat granted certificates of Da Lat flower brand to some production and business units.

The building and developing of the brand are expected to assist flower growers, enterprises, organizations in raising economic values for their products and setting a strong foothold for their brand in the global market.

So far, flower cultivation area in Da Lat City and surrounding areas have been expanded to over 2,186 hectares.

An average yield of 325,000 branches of flowers per hectare per crop makes the flower productivity reach 1,776 million branches per year and an annual revenue is valued at around US$1.3 million./.
