Japan and Taiwan (China) continued to be the largest recipients of Vietnamese guest workers. Other markets included the RoK, China, Singapore, Romania, Thailand, Macau (China), Saudi Arabia and Hungary, announced the MOLISA.

This year, the nation aims to send 125,000 contract workers, mostly to key traditional markets such as Japan, Taiwan (China) and the RoK.

Accordingly, Viet Nam will send about 63,000 workers to Japan; 48,000 workers to Taiwan; and 8,500 to the RoK.

In 2023, the country sent more than 159,000 contract workers abroad, reaching 133 percent of the yearly plan, a 10-year high.

Key traditional markets continued to receive a large number of Vietnamese workers, with Japan receiving more than 80,000, Taiwan (China) more than 58,000, and the RoK 11,000 workers./.
