Overall, the new export strategy will provide a framework for the Czech government to strengthen and adjust support for exporters, helping the economy sustainably and improving people's living standards.

Speaking at a press conference after the government meeting, Minister of Industry and Trade Jozef Sikela said that exports accounted for more than 70 percent of the Czech Republic's GDP. The Central European country has one of the most open economies in the world.

Also, he emphasized that supporting exporters is critical to the Czech Republic's sustainable growth.

The new Czech export strategy focuses on innovative companies that can offer competitive products on the international market.

Minister Sikela said the support from the Czech Government would target all stages of the group's development, from product concept to financing and marketing.

Additionally, the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade will also continue sending trade missions abroad and promoting Czech enterprises to participate in international trade fairs.

Meanwhile, the Czech Chamber of Commerce welcomed the Government's new export strategy but wished for specific solutions.

President of the Czech Chamber of Commerce Zdenek Zajicek affirmed that the chamber supports the Government's plan to create conditions for exporters.

This helps diversify their exports to countries outside the EU, and makes it easier for companies to operate in foreign markets in the long term and enhance competitiveness through supporting the export of innovative products.

Regarding economic diplomacy, he proposed paying attention to the U,S., the Republic of Korea, Israel, Georgia, Viet Nam, and African countries.

Speaking at a Viet Nam-Czech Republic business forum in Prague in June, Czech Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Edvard Kozusnik affirmed Viet Nam is the most important partner of the European country in Asia.

Also at this event, Zdenek Zajicek announced the organization of a delegation of Czech businesses to visit Viet Nam in September./.
