Chairman of the National Assembly (NA) Vuong Dinh Hue, Head of the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization Bui Thi Minh Hoai, NA Vice Chairman Tran Quang Phuong and Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang attended the event.

Viet Nam Airlines Chairman Dang Ngoc Hoa said, over the past three decades, the carrier has operated flights linking Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City with Beijing, Guangzhou, and Shanghai with 33 return flights per week. It has launched 100,000 flights, carrying nearly 12 million passengers, and more than 166,000 tons of cargo.

Addressing the event, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang said, Viet Nam-China air routes are of significance, which make contributions to promoting socio-economic development and nurturing the friendship between the two sides.

Relations between the two countries have been strengthened over the past 74 years. China has been the biggest trade partner of Viet Nam, with the two-way trade value reaching nearly US$172 billion in 2023, he noted.

The number of Chinese arrivals accounts for about 30 percent of the total number of international visitors to Viet Nam. Meanwhile, Viet Nam is among the biggest tourist source markets of China, emphasized Tran./.
