WB to fund school quality program

Việt Nam is promoting IT applications at schools to improve education quality

Earlier, authorized by the PM, Governor of the State Bank Nguyễn Văn Giàu signed with representative of the World Bank the Agreement and documents.

The Program aims at bettering the studying results and raising the graduation rate of primary pupils, especially those with disadvantages, through assisting the Government of Việt Nam to realize the full-time teaching program.

The World Bank will grant Việt Nam a preferential loan of 85.4 million special drawing rights (equivalent to US $127 million) for 40 years, including 10 years of grace, at the interest rate of 0%.

The PM’s proposal was made under regulations of the Law on signing, joining and realizing international conventions.
