The Agreement is worth of US $75 million, including US $59.8 as loans from the WB.

Through the Project, the Vietnamese Government can develop market-orientated agriculture and improve competitiveness of small farmer households in Central Việt Nam and the Central Highlands.

The Project will facilitate the production linkages between farms and small farmer households and enterprises, expand farmers’ accessibility to the markets, introduce technological advances to production households, and finance the infrastructure construction for production activities.

Addressing the signing ceremony, Governor Nguyễn Văn Giàu hoped that, with efforts made by ministries and sectors, the Project will be a great success, considerably improving competitiveness of small farmer households in particular and Việt Nam’s agriculture in general.
