WB helps Central Highland province to develop agro-produce

VGP – The World Bank (WB) is expected to provide US $8.53 million to the Central Highlands province of Đắk Lắk for sharpening competitiveness of its agricultural products, namely coffee, avocado and wild boars.

For coffee cultivation, technical training courses will be organized for local farmers to improve the value of their coffee under the Utz Certfied standards and raise benefits.
Local farmers will also receive financial assistance to buy breeding of wild boars and construct pigsty.

Also under the project, 100 local ethnic households will enter a union of high-quality avocado producers.

Setting up close links between businesses and local farmers is a prioritized target of the WB credit for sustainable agricultural development in the Central Highlands Province.
