Vung Tau to host int’l kite festival

VGP - The 6th International Kite Festival 2015, themed "Flying with Viet Nam" will take place in Vung Tau city in the southern province of BaRia-Vung Tau from April 21-27.

The event is expected to see the participation of various teams from nearly 150 artists from 22 countries and territories across the world.

Several activities including kite flying competitions and a training course on making kites will be held during the event. 

Earlier, the Viet Nam Art Kite Festival 2015 was held in Vung Tau on February 28 and March 1.
 
Being held in the occasion of the Hung King Anniversary(10th day of the third lunar month) which commemorates the first kingdom of Viet Nam, this kite performances is planned to boast Viet Nam’s tradition, and appreciate the Hung Dynasty.
 
With the advantage of good natural conditions and for year kite festival holding in hand, Vung Tau is hoped to host the upcoming Southeast Kite Festival successfully.
 
The musical flute kite which used to be popular in Viet Nam is considered the highlight, and is highly expected by Western tourists.
