Deputy PM Trinh Dinh Dung on November 22 made that statement at his reception for Chairman of Canada's Transportation Vision Group (VTG) Richard Courey.

The Vietnamese leader appraised VTG’s experience in infrastructure development, adding that Viet Nam has mobilized social resources for investment in infrastructure development serving for socio-economic development.

The Vietnamese Government is improving its investment and business environment, completing institutional basis and creating favorable conditions for foreign and domestic businesses to expand investment, he asserted.

The VTG is proposing Ha Noi’s authorities, Government, ministries and agencies launch the urban railway project to connect Noi Bai International Airport and the West Lake in form of Public Private Partnership, said Mr. Richard Courey.

Deputy PM Dung asked the VTG to consider more projects investing in and developing infrastructure, especially that for railways.

Since 1992 VTG has been involved in more than 165 major infrastructure projects in 42 different countries. VTG has contributed to financial close of more than US$35 billion of successful projects and is a full member of the prestigious UITP where it is listed in the €100 million p.a. turnover category.
