VN, Venezuela sign cooperative agreements

VGP – A number of programs and projects has been agreed at the 2nd meeting of the Việt Nam-Venezuela Inter-governmental Committee, which was held in Caracas on April 20.

The minutes of the meeting, which was signed by Vietnamese Deputy PM Hoàng Trung Hải and Venezuelan Vice President Rafael Ramírez, refers to bilateral cooperation in trade, oil and gas, electricity, agriculture, infrastructure, shipbuilding, telecommunication, culture and education.

The two sides affirmed that in the future, the Governments, ministries and agencies will make greater efforts to launch cooperative agreements in potential areas. 

The two sides exchanged views and agreed to accelerate research and cooperation in investing and joint venturing in potential fields of telecommunication, lorry and motorbike assembly, equipment making, hydroelectric plant development and application of biogas.

A number of agreements and contracts was signed during the event, regarding Việt Nam’s supply of solar energy stations and products, public lighting programs, assistance on technique, management and material supply for the offshore Junin-2 oil and gas block, cultural exchange program on theatrical staging, cinematography and publishing in the phase from 2012-2015.
