Last month, Deputy PM Ninh also met with Mr. Michael Froman in Washington DC to talk about issues of common concern, including the negotiation for the important FTA agreement.

The host leader said that in spite of difficulties, Viet Nam is strongly determined to successfully negotiate the agreement with the US.

He suggested that the US should consider Viet Nam’s main interests in products of its strength such as garment and footwear.

Viet Nam is exerting efforts to join the TPP free market and together with the US overcome every challenge in the negotiation process, he affirmed.

For his part, Mr. Michael Froman informed that his discussion with Vietnamese Minister of Industry and Trade Vu Huy Hoang focused on measures to narrow gaps and increase consensus in a number of contents.

He expressed his wish that the negotiations for the agreement will be soon concluded./.
