VN, US Air Transport Agreement amended

VGP - The Vietnamese Prime Minister has approved an agreement which amends the Việt Nam-US Air Transport Agreement 2003.

According to the agreement signed by Minister of Transport Hồ Nghĩa Dũng and American Ambassador to Việt Nam Michael Michalak on May 18, the two sides agreed to extend the agreement 2003 till March 31, 2012 and create favorable conditions for their carriers to strengthen cargo transport.

Two US carriers, United Airlines (UA) and Northwest Airlines (NW), are running flights between Việt Nam and the US. Express delivery service provider FedEx is also tapping flights between the two countries,

Vietnam Airlines, American Airlines and Delta Airlines are offering code-sharing passenger flights between Việt Nam and the US.
