Dung, who is on an official visit to the UAE from July 6-9, made the above statement at his meetings with UAE Minister of State Sultan Bin Ahmed Al Jaber and Minister of Energy and Trade Suhail Mohammed Faraj Al Mazroui.

Dung also expects the UAE will play as the gateway for Vietnamese businesses and goods to access to the Middle East while creating favorable conditions for Vietnamese workers to live and work in the country.

The UEA highly valued Viet Nam’s role and position in the region and the world, congratulating the Southeast Asian country on winning a non-permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council for the tenure 2020-2021.

Both sides agreed to foster the exchange of delegations at all levels as well as coordination and mutual support at international and multilateral forums while improving the effectiveness of their bilateral cooperation mechanisms like the Inter-Governmental Committee and political consultation between the two foreign ministries.

The two sides were also determined to increase the two-way trade value to US$10 billion in the time to come./.
