VN to host ASEAN sea forum this month

Foreign Ministry Spokesman Le Hai Binh revealed the information at a regular press conference held on August 21.  

The Vietnamese delegation will be led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Quang Vinh.

Viet Nam’s hosting of these two forums shows the country's role, responsibilities, and contribution in cooperative areas and reflects ASEAN's priorities in sea cooperation, safety, and security in the region.

At the forums, the nations will discuss situations and cooperation at sea, evaluate initiatives of the forum, and indentify future orientations of the forums.
