VN to establish agro-product trading floor
VGP – Permanent Deputy PM Nguyễn Sinh Hùng has recently agreed to establish Việt Nam’s first agro-products trading floor in the southern city of Kiên Giang.
The plan is one of many
Government-backed farming projects to support farmers and boost the country’s
agriculture development.

As
reported, the agro-products trading floor will be operated in the same way like
gold or stock floors. The posted price will be evaluated by appropriate
authorities. Posted products must meet quality and quantity standards,
therefore, farmers will have better selling price at the floor than at the
market. All agricultural products can be posted on the floor.
The floor aims at creating
opportunities for farmers to interact directly with their consumers, to better understand
the needs and demands of markets, and to sell products at higher prices.
