VN to attend 8th UNCCD Meeting

VNGOP – Deputy PM Phạm Gia Khiêm on August 14 agreed to dispatch a delegation to attend the 8th meeting of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD).

Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Hứa Đức Nhị, Head of the National Coordinating Committee for UNCCD, will function as the delegation leader.

The 8th UNCCD meeting is reported to be held in Madrid (Spain) from September 03-14, 2007.
