VN, Sweden exchange congratulations on 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties

VGP – Party General Secretary, State President Nguyen Phu Trong on January 11 sent a congratulatory message to Swedish King Carl XVI Gustaf on the occasion of the 50th founding anniversary of the Viet Nam-Sweden diplomatic ties.

In his letter, Mr. Trong asserted that Viet Nam always attaches importance to consolidating and broadening the traditional friendship and multi-faceted cooperation with Sweden-a leading partner of Viet Nam in the Northern Europe.

The two countries enjoy long-lasting relationship and share supplementary strengths in various areas.

The Vietnamese leader expressed his hope that with the huge potentials and joint determinations of the two sides’ leaders and people, the bilateral ties will continue growing robustly for the prosperity of each side and for peace and cooperation in the region and the world.

The same day, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc also cabled a congratulatory message to his Swedish counterpart Stefan Löfven.

Swedish PM Stefan Löfven also extended his congratulations to the Vietnamese PM.
