VN, Singapore to convene 6th ministerial meeting on economic connectivity

VGP – PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng has just agreed to send Minister of Planning and Investment Võ Hồng Phúc to the 6th Việt Nam-Singapore ministerial meeting on economic connectivity to be held in late 2010 in Singapore.

The 5^th Việt Nam-Singapore Ministerial Meeting on Economic Connectivity is organized in Việt Nam’s Central Highlands city of Đà Lạt, March 13, 2010

After four years of realizing the Việt Nam-Singapore Economic Connectivity Agreement signed in 2005, the two-way trade turnover increased from SGD 10.4 billion in 2005 to over SGD 50 billion last year.

As of February 2010, Singaporean investors were running 792 ongoing projects with the total registered capital of SGD 17.3 billion. They mainly focus on five fields: processing industry; real estate; construction; arts and amusement; accommodation and catering services.

Việt Nam owns 29 investment projects in Singapore with the registered capital of nearly US $50 million.
