VN, Romania expand manpower cooperation

VGP – Vietnamese Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung and Romanian Minister of Labor and Social Justice Marius Constatin Budai have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on labor and social security.

The MoU, valid for five years since 2018, is expected to expand bilateral cooperation in labor, employment and social security between the two nations on basis of mutual benefits.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Dung said that the MoU will also help bring more Vietnamese workers to Romania.

Around 100 Vietnamese guest laborers were sent to Romania each year between 2008 and 2016. The figure rose from 800 in 2017 to 1,400 in the first 11 months of 2018./.
