The passengers, including seniors, pregnant women, students and workers whose visas had expired, were medically checked and quarantined immediately upon arrival.
The flight is part of the joint efforts by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Transport and relevant competent agencies to bring citizens stranded abroad due to COVID-19.
This is the 16th repatriation flight arranged since April 24, with about 4,684 passengers from foreign countries and territories, official data showed.
As of 6 am on Tuesday, Viet Nam had 328 COVID-19 patients, of whom 293 have been cleared of the virus, accounting for 89% of the patient tally, reported the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control./.
