Minister Chaleuan Yapaoher reported to PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng his working sessions with the Vietnamese counterpart during which the two sides exchanged information about judicial reforms and experience in makings, checking legal documents, executing civil judgments, legal education, and training lawyers. The two sides also reviewed the judicial cooperation between Vietnam and Laos in the recent years and discussed the agenda for bilateral cooperation in 2007–2010.

PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng lauded these results and highlighted the role of judiciary work in any government's performance. He affirmed that Vietnam will proactively help Laos in training judicial staff and negotiating for the neighbor country's bid for WTO admission.

During his visit to Vietnam, the Lao Minister of Justice also worked with Vietnam's People's Supreme Court, People's Supreme Procuracy, Hồ Chí Minh National Politics and Administrative Institute and the Hanoi Law University.
