VN ready to play proactive role in Korean peninsula peace dialogue

VGP – Viet Nam stands ready to make proactive contribution to accelerate dialogues and maintain peace, security and stability on the Korean peninsula.

Spokesperson of the Vietnamese Foreign Ministry Le Thi Thu Hang made the above statement in response to reporters’ query on whether Viet Nam is ready to host the US-Democratic People Republic of Korea Summit (between US President Donald Trump and DPRK leader Kim Jong-un) in May if it may receive a request from the relevant sides.

Hang affirmed Viet Nam supports constructive efforts to settle all differences through peaceful dialogues in order to contribute to peace, security and stability on both the Korean peninsula and the world as well./
