VGP - Việt Nam was ranked the fourth in the world, after Sri Lanka, Saudi Arabia and Israel, in terms of tourism growth with a rate of over 30% by the end of April while few countries achieved double-digit figures, according to the latest data by the World Tourism Organization.

lured some 432,600 international arrivals in April, raising the total in the
first four months of this year to 1.8 million, increasing 35% over the same
period last year, according to the Việt Nam National Administration of Tourism.
“Previously, we were comfortable
as there were not many competitors in our region. But now, we have Việt Nam and Cambodia emerging fast as tourist
lurers,” Malaysian Tourism Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ng Yen Yen was quoted by Star Online,

targets to attract more international visitors this year, through the
organization of grand programs, such as the 1,000th founding
anniversary of Thăng Long–Hà Nội and the Huế Festival 2010.
