Deputy PM Hoang Trung Hai highly valued the meaning of the project, which helps overcome the consequences of bombs and mines left over from the war and promote the nation’s socio-economic development.

The Deputy PM thanked the assistance from the international organizations, non-governmental organizations and other nations in establishing the center.

Located on the area of 52,400 square meters, the project, with a total investment of US$20 million, includes a monitoring center, a meeting hall, a museum and a laboratory.

The center aims to cooperate with relevant agencies to propose policies and identify tasks to overcome long-term, mid-term and short-term consequences of bombs and mines as well as carrying out international cooperative activities and mobilizing sponsors in this area.
