VN-Malaysia: A steadfast relation

VNGOP – A meeting to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the National Day of Malaysia (august 31, 1957-August 31, 2007) was organized on August 28 in Hà Nội by the Việt Nam Union of Friendship Organizations and the Việt Nam-Malaysia Friendship Association (VNMFA).

Addressing the meeting, Mr. Đỗ Hữu Hào, Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce, VNMFA Chairman, confirmed the Việt Nam-Malaysia relationship is a long-standing friendship which is continuously strengthened and developed. Particularly, in recent years, leaders of the two countries have frequently exchanged visits. The two countries signed a joint declaration on the framework for comprehensive cooperation in the 21^st century to lay the foundation for multifaceted cooperation between the two nations at the new height.

Ms. Lim Kim Eng, Malaysian Ambassadress to Việt Nam, expressed her confidence that, the friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Việt Nam and Malaysia will be promoted to meet the two peoples’ desire and interests, for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world./.
