VN lodges resolute protest to Taiwan’s live-fire exercises at Ba Binh Island

Le Thi Thu Hang, Spokesperson of the Vietnamese Foreign Ministry, made the above statement at press conference in Ha Noi on March 22.

Viet Nam demands Taiwan not repeat similar activities, Hang stated.

She affirmed Viet Nam has full legal basis and historical evidence to attest its sovereignty over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos.

Taiwan’s organization of live-fire exercises for many times at the Ba Binh Island has seriously encroached upon Viet Nam’s territorial sovereignty, threatened peace, stability, safety and freedom of navigation, and caused tensions and complicated the situation in the East Sea, according to Hang./.
