VN, Laos promote comprehensive cooperation

VGP - Lao Party General Secretary and State President Choummaly Sayasone has confirmed that Viet Nam-Laos relationship is the invaluable asset of the two nations that needs to be preserved and protected.

During his visit to Viet Nam from August 18-21, the Lao Party Chief met with General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and State President Truong Tan Sang, and visited Lam Dong Province and Ho Chi Minh City.

The Lao leader’s visit showed the special relations and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.

The two sides shared evaluations of the situations in the world and in the region and exchanged measures to strengthen the relationship.

The Lao leader hoped that Viet Nam will achieve goals set in the 11th Party National Congress and thanked Viet Nam for its assistance to Laos over the past time.

Party Chief Trong and State President Sang congratulated on achievements recorded by the Lao Party, State and people as well as the traditional relations and comprehensive cooperation between the two sides.

Viet Nam will do its utmost to enhance the relations with Laos more effectively and deeply for the sake of the two nations’ prosperity and the regional and international peace, stability, cooperation and development.
