VN, Japan encourage local cooperation

VGP – The Vietnamese Government stands ready to create favorable ways for Niigata in particular and Japanese localities in general to do successful business here, said Deputy PM Trinh Dinh Dung.

Deputy PM Dung made the point on October 18 while receiving Governor of Niigata Prefecture Hideyo Hanazumi.

The host leader highly spoke of the working visit of Governor Hideyo Hanazumi when the two countries are celebrating the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties. 

Viet Nam, affirmed Mr. Dung, extremely attaches importance to beefing up local cooperation. He regarded this as a practical and effective channel for bilateral cooperation in favor of other fields namely economics, trade, labor, and people-to-people exchanges. 

The Deputy PM recommended the Governor call upon more Niigata businesses to set footholds in Viet Nam in their fields of strength including the manufacturing industry, agro-forestry-fishery sector, high-tech, especially rice cultivation. 

The Vietnamese Government, affirmed Mr. Dung, is willing to offer every favorable condition for Niigata-based enterprises to do successful business in Viet Nam. 

The host leader also took the occasion to call on Japanese localities to boost cooperation in human training and education especially by recruiting more Vietnamese trainees. 

In return, Governor Hideyo Hanazumi revealed that the delegation comprised representatives of universities, medical establishments, tourism who are willing to shake hands with Vietnamese peers. 

The guest leader underlined that Niigata prefecture extremely hopes to set up close ties with Vietnamese localities./.
