VN hails Russia’s arrest of murderers of its citizen

VGP - Spokesman of the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affair (MoFA) Lê Dũng today extended his deep condolences to the family of Đinh Như Tiến who was recently murdered in Unianovsk, the Russian Federation.

After being informed by investigators in Ulianovsk, the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia sent a diplomatic note to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affair, Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the investigation police in Ulianovsk, expressing the deep concerns about the tragedy and asking the host competent authorities to investigate the case.

Việt Nam lauds the criminal investigation department of Ulianovsk's procuracy for arresting two criminals and warning the remaining one.

The MoFA's representative also asked Russian and Ulianovsk's competent agencies to take measures to guarantee safety for Vietnamese citizens residing in the Russian Federation.

Đinh Như Tiến, a 44-year-old Vietnamese temporary resident in Ulianovsk, was stabbed to death by three teenager hooligans on January 8 on his way to home.
