During the visit, Deputy PM Dung met with French Environment Minister François de Rugy, Director of the French Development Agency Rémy Rioux, Senate’s Vice President Philippe Dallier and some French CEOs.

During these meetings, both sides stressed that the Viet Nam-French Strategic Partnership have vigorously flourished over the past years; specially, in 2018, the two countries are celebrating the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties and the 5th anniversary of strategic partnership establishment.

In the coming time, Deputy PM Dung and French leaders would utilize existing mechanisms to share information and promote cooperation in all fields.

Deputy PM Dung suggested the Government and Senate of France advocate early signing and ratification of the Free Trade Agreement and the Investment Protection Agreement between Viet Nam and the European Union.
He also welcomed France to have stronger voices for peaceful settlement of disputes in the East Sea/./
