VN, France enhance cooperation in anti-corruption

VGP - The Government Inspectorate of Viet Nam and the French Anti-Corruption Agency on January 15 signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation in preventing and fighting corruption.

Government Inspector General Le Minh Khai and head of the French Anti-Corruption Agency Charles Duchaine shared their experience on anti-corruption and orientations for anti-corruption works at each nation.

The cooperation between the two agencies is aimed at strengthening their coordination to combat corruption in the principles of equality, friendship and mutual benefit and in accordance with laws and practices of each country as well as international law, said Mr. Khai. 

The MoU puts a foundation for the bilateral affiliation between the two sides, allowing them to foster coordination and the sharing of information and professional documents and experience.

The two sides will also organize forums and conferences on anti-corruption, and exchange experience in raising public awareness of fighting corruption and encourage their engagement in the work.
