VN-France Business Forum transpires in HN

VGP – Continuing the official tour to Việt Nam, French PM Francois Fillon and his entourage on November 13 participated in the Việt Nam–France Business Forum where 18 contracts worth of €9.5 billion were penned.

Attending the forum, French PM Francois Fillon expressed his aspiration to build up a strategic model for the European and Asian cooperation through France and Việt Nam. 

As one of the pioneers in terms of environmentally friendly production, France is willing to share with Việt Nam experience of responding to  climate change, sewage treatment, and urban transportation, said the French PM.

At the forum, representatives from over 40 French leading groups and businesses, operating in such areas of energy, aviation, transportation, and so on, had numerous chances to discuss with their Vietnamese counterparts for solutions to boost up the bilateral economic and commercial ties.

Permanent Deputy PM Nguyễn Sinh Hùng warmly welcomed exchanges of the two countries’ business communities.

On the basis of historic as well as cultural advantages and long-lasting relations, there remain wide doors for French enterprises to penetrate and expand business in Việt Nam, said Mr. Hùng.

The Deputy PM also expressed his pleasure at effective activities of French enterprises in Việt Nam, especially in the aspects of petroleum, energy, IT and retail sales. He also appreciated France’s support for the Southeast Asian country in infrastructure construction, poverty reduction, and environment protection.

The Deputy PM reiterated that Việt Nam pledges to create the biggest favorable conditions for the French business circle to do business here for bigger profits. 

Finally, PM Francois Fillon and Deputy PM Nguyễn Sinh Hùng witnessed the signing ceremony of 18 agreements, valued about €9.5 billion, between the two countries’ groups and enterprises.
