The Deputy PM highly valued the role of JICA in strengthening connections and cooperative relations between Viet Nam and Japan, expressing his thanks to Japan for its Official Development Assistance (ODA) of US$27 billion, which has contributed to the development of Viet Nam in all fields, including infrastructure.

He expected that Japan continues providing ODA for Viet Nam in prioritized areas such as infrastructure, industries included in the two nations’ strategy, high-tech agriculture, climate change adaption and enhancement of management capacity.

The Vietnamese Government issued Decree 52/2017/ND-CP on relending the Government's borrowed foreign capital to provincial Committees, a measure to enhance the use of loans, the Deputy PM said.

The JICA Deputy Managing Director hoped that the two sides can enhance the formation and realization process of ODA projects in the future, especially in State management.
