The two sides briefed each other about situations in their respective countries and shared opinions of the solidarity and cooperation between the two countries and the two ministries.

The diplomats were unanimous that the Việt Nam-Cuba relationship has been strengthened through Vietnamese State President Nguyễn Minh Triết’s official visit to Cuba in September and the 27th sitting of the Việt Nam-Cuba Intergovernmental Committee for Cooperation in late October.

They agreed that the two countries should vigorously realize high-ranking agreements and documents in order to expand bilateral economic, trade and investment cooperation, especially in agriculture, energy, petroleum, processing industry, consumer goods, biotechnology, medicine, and telecommunication.
