VN confirms 28th COVID-19 death

VGP - A 36-year-old COVID-19 male patient was pronounced dead, bringing Viet Nam’s COVID-19 death toll to 28, according to the Ministry of Health.

The man had a history of end-stage chronic kidney failure, heart failure and hypertension and had been receiving dialysis for the past 12 years.

He died on the evening of August 25 at Hoa Vang medical facility in Da Nang City.

The causes of her death include pneumonia caused by COVID-19, septic shock, multi-organ failure, hypertension, heart failure.

As of early August 26, Viet Nam had 1,029 COVID-19 infection cases, of whom 592 were declared clear of the virus and exited hospitals. 

Since July 25, the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control confirmed 547 cases linked to COVID-19 cluster in Da Nang City.
