VN, China hold third-round talks on sea delineation

VNGOVNet – The Vietnam-China Joint Working Group convened its third-round talks on April 02-03, 2007 in Hanoi on negotiations on delineating the territorial waters off the Bắc Bộ (Tonkin) Gulf.

In a friendly, frank and constructive ambiance, the two sides had in-depth discussions about related issues, firmly promoting talks on delineating the sea area off the Gulf of Tonkin in conformity with common conception of high-level leaders of the two countries as well as the agreements gained at the 13th round of the Vietnam-China governmental negotiations on border and territory.

On April 03, 2007, Mr. Phạm Bình Minh, Assistant to the Foreign Minister, had a cordial reception to all members of the joint working group.

The two sides agreed that the 4th round of talks will be held in China in late 2007.
