VN, China establish intergovernmental committee for land border

The two sides signed the report summing up the border demarcation and landmark planting work which had been carried out along the Việt Nam-China land borderline.

They agreed to establish the Việt Nam-China Intergovernmental Committee for Land Border which will coordinate the management of borderline, landmarks and border-gates in line with related stipulations in the Protocol on Border Demarcation and Landmark Planting, Agreement on Border Management and the Agreement on Border-gates and their management.

These documents were signed in November 2009.
