VN, Cambodia join hands in military, defense legislation

VGP – The Ministries of Defense of Viet Nam and Cambodia have consented to promote cooperation in military and defense legislation, making contributions to consolidating and developing the relations between the two countries’ armed forces.

The statement was made at the talks between the two sides in Ho Chi Minh City on July 9.
The two sides agreed that the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on military and defense law establishment will help promote each side’s defense development.  

Based on the Viet Nam – Cambodia protocol on bilateral defense agreement from 2015-2019, the two sides assented to enhance cooperative activities in this field.

The Vietnamese Ministry of Defense will assist the Cambodia partner in organizing training courses for officials in charge of making military laws, and to offer undergraduate scholarships in law as well as doing research and studies in military and defense legislation and support the Cambodian Defense Ministry’s legal department in developing its facilities.
