During the meeting, the two sides assessed the work of border demarcation and landmark planting in 2006 and approved the plan 2007.

Accordingly, starting from May 2007, Vietnam and Cambodia will plant about 100 landmarks along the common borderline up to the end of the year.

The two sides agreed to discuss with Laos about planting landmarks at the border T-junction of the three countries.

These results prove the two sides' determination to finish border demarcation and landmark planting before the end of 2008 in lien with high-level agreements.

Cambodian Deputy PM Sok An had a cordial reception on April 05 to Vietnam's Deputy Foreign Minister Vũ Dũng. The host highly appreciated the two joint committees' efforts. He also revealed some solutions taken by Cambodia to complete the landmark planting by the end of 2008.
