VN, Cambodia accelerate border demarcation

VNGOP - The fourth session of the Việt Nam-Cambodia Land Border Joint Technical Subcommittee took place in Cambodia’s Phnom Penh from November 30 to December 2 in order to speed up the process of border demarcation and landmark planting.

At the meeting, the two sides agreed upon 26 more positions for planting landmarks along their border, bringing the total land border markers between the two countries to around 200. They also reached agreement on various measures to speed up the process.

The meeting helped timely deal with newly-arisen issues and bring about important legal-technical foundations to complete the work prior to the end of 2008.
