VN-Brazil trade achieves US$2 bln in 8 months

VGP – Viet Nam-Brazil trade turnover reached US$2.005 billion over the first eight months of 2014, according to Viet Nam's trade office in Brazil.

Viet Nam’s exports and imports to Brazil were US$909.8 million and US$1.095 billion, reflecting year-on-year increases of 31.6% and 42.9%, respectively.

Viet Nam’s key export items registering sharp increases in growth rate were fiber up 104%, phones and accessories up 132%, handbags, suitcases, hats and umbrellas up 36.4%, garment up 36.3% and vehicles up 29.6%.

The two countries' two-way trade turnover is expected to exceed US$3 billion in 2014.
