VN, Belarus gain important agreements

VGP – Deputy PM Hoàng Trung Hải and his entourage on October 15 arrived in Minsk, starting an official visit to the Republic of Belarus where they would have talks and meetings with Belarusian leaders.

Expressing his impression on Việt Nam’s vigorous advancements and its economic recovery from the global crisis, Belarus’ Deputy PM Andriey Kobiakov underlined that the two countries share similar viewpoints to support each other in the international arena. 

Both sides agreed to shake hands in such areas as science and technology, training of agricultural experts, agro-product processing, technological transfer, and petroleum.  

To strengthen bilateral relations, Việt Nam stands ready to act as a gateway for Belarus to build the multifaceted partnership with ASEAN member states as well as other Asian countries, said Deputy PM Hoàng Trung Hải.

The two sides pledged to facilitate the exchange of their products into respective markets, including milk, processed food and steel from Belarus, and tea, coffee, pepper from Việt Nam.

Following the talks, the two Deputy PMs witnessed the signing of cooperative documents between the two countries’ localities, which concretize high-level agreements on cooperation in various fields.

On the occasion, leaders of the State Bank of Việt Nam (SBV) and the National Bank of Belarus signed an agreement that lays legal foundation for economic and financial cooperation and information sharing.

On the same day, Deputy PM Hoàng Trung Hải met Mr. Vladimir Andreichenko, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the Belarus National Assembly.  

The visit of Việt Nam’s governmental delegation marks a new progress in the traditional and fine relationship between the two countries, commented the host senior lawmaker.

Deputy PM Hoàng Trung Hải suggested the Vietnamese and Belarusian governments and legislative bodies creat favorable conditions for the business circles to expand and tap their markets.
