VN advocates "one-China" policy

VNGOP - Responding to questions relating to the Taiwanese authority's promotion of a referendum on Taiwan joining the United Nations, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Lê Dũng said Việt Nam affirms its firm stance on the 'one-China' policy.

"Việt Nam supports the cause of unifying China and opposes any "separatist act" for an "independent Taiwan" in any form," said the Spokesman, emphasizing that Việt Nam hails efforts which aim to promote the two sides of the straits' relations for peace and stability in accordance with the trend of peace and stability in the region.
