Vĩnh Phúc posts the ever-highest paddy rice output

The results are attributed to the effective implementation of the Government’s agricultural stimulus packages which have helped farmers overcome difficulties and expand production.

Local farmers mainly grew high-yield and high-quality rice varieties.

The province already spent VND 5.4 billion to distribute 184.7 tons of cross-bred rice seeds to farmers, raising the cross-bred rice-growing area to 6,470 hectares, an ever-biggest figure.

The local authorities have allocated VND 35 billion to subsidize interest rates of loans taken by farmers to purchase fertilizers. Tens of thousands of poor peasant households in the province have benefited from the interest subsidy.

Relevant agencies at district and communal levels have organized training courses and on-the-spot workshops for farmers to master advanced farming techniques and methods.

Vĩnh Phúc will also spend VND 320 million to assist farmers to mechanize their farm work.
