Vinatex prepares to join ITMF

VGP – The Việt Nam National Textile and Garment Group (Vinatex) is moving to join the International Textile Manufacturers Federation (ITMF), said Federation’s Director Christian Schindler at his courtesy visit to Deputy PM Hoàng Trung Hải on Tuesday.

ITMF, as the visiting Director said, will work with Việt Nam on preparations for the organization of the ITMF Annual Conference 2012 in the country in October.

Việt Nam is one of prestigious and big garment exporters in the world and its admission to the ITMF will be of significant importance for the country to participate in ITMF’s conferences and forums and seek global partners as well, Director Christian Schindler noted.

Deputy PM Hải affirmed the Vietnamese Government’s constant policy to create favorable conditions for industrial development in general and the garment and textile sector in particular.

He hoped that ITMF would function as a channel to exchange textile-based information between Việt Nam and the world market.

Founded in 1904 in Zurich, Switzerland, ITMF now has members from all over the world.
