VinaPhone joins Conexus Mobile Alliance

VGP – VinaPhone, under the control of the State owned Việt Nam Post and Telecommunication Corporation (VNPT), has become the first mobile operator in Việt Nam joining Conexus Mobile Alliance on November 17 in Hong Kong.

After joining Conexus, VinaPhone will provide its clients with preferential charges and special services when they use advanced services of other member operators.

The participation will increase VinaPhone’s status and is considered as a crucial progress in Việt Nam’s mobile phone market.

Established in April 2006, Conexus is the alliance of top regional mobile operators specializing in 3G network. It has committed to promoting roaming services and developing mobile services.

The Alliance now has 11 members operating in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Republic of Korea, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, India, Philippines, Indonesia and Việt nam.

Its total number of customers is more than 240 millions.
