Vietnamese reporter honored at int’l photo festival

“Harvest Season” photo, taken by reporter Việt Văn, wins the 4th prize of the World Photography Gala Awards 2010

"Harvest Season” was taken during Văn’s working visit to Mù Cang Chải District in the northern province of Yên Bái in September 2009.

The reporter was also granted with a Merit Award for  his “Coming Spring.”

Last year, Văn won totally 14 photo prizes.

All the prize-winning photos, including “Summer in Haiti” (Best Documentary Series) by American photographer James Fischetti and “Cherry Tree and Little Girls” (First Prize) by American Jeanine Vitale, will be exhibited in the US and Europe, and showcased for sale at Wonderpick Gallery in the UK.
