In March, only one shipment of Vietnamese prawns was detected to have contained Enrofloxacin residues, according to the Việt Nam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers.

Since the beginning of this year, Vietnamese seafood association warned farmers not to use Enrofloxacin to treat prawns or shrimps infected with diseases.

Japan is now Việt Nam’s biggest prawn importer.
