Italian enterprises’ survey tour to Việt Nam is organized in the framework of the Sapori D’Italy Program by the Italian Commercial Section and the Federation of Italian Chambers of Commerce.

Mr. Marco Saladini, Representative of the Italian Commercial Section in Hồ Chí Minh City, stated that, with a population of over 86 million and a high and stable economic growth rate, Việt Nam is an emerging market for well-known Italian consumer goods.

The Section has held 140 business meetings for Italian makers of spices, wine, vinegar, olive oil, spaghettis, frozen foodstuffs, and preserved vegetables to establish ties with local distributors and importers.

Italy pocketed 850,000 for exporting wine to Việt Nam in 2008. It also earned 8.8 million and 570,000 from drinks and spaghettis respectively in the same market during the same period.
